Homemade Honey Nut Cheerios
Baes & The Bees.
I have wanted to make homemade Honey Nut Cheerios for a long time. So when my friend Carly Kremer — founder of Beekeeper’s Naturals — came over to cook with me, this was the obvious choice. A childhood classic, made clean, made from scratch, and glazed with the best honey I have ever used. It was the collab that basically named itself.
If you don’t know Carly’s story, here it is. She started Beekeeper’s Naturals after a severe reaction to antibiotics left her searching for natural immune support. She discovered propolis during a trip to Europe, felt the difference firsthand, and came home determined to bring that same quality to the US market. What started as a personal mission turned into one of the most trusted wellness brands out there — built with genuine care for sustainable hive practices and ethical sourcing.
Now let’s talk about the honey, because it is not what you are used to. Most grocery store honey has been pasteurized and filtered, which strips out everything that makes it actually good for you. Beekeeper’s Naturals Superfood Honey is raw and unfiltered, keeping all of its natural enzymes, antioxidants, and antimicrobial properties intact. It also has medicinal grade levels of royal jelly (the colostrum of the hive), propolis and bee pollen - which truly makes it the holy grail of honey. It supports immune function, gut health, and gives you sustained energy. Honey has been used medicinally for centuries. It also tastes wildly better than the bear-shaped bottle you grew up with. That part matters too.
The bee pollen is not just a pretty garnish either. It is one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet — packed with protein, amino acids, B vitamins, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory compounds that support energy, immunity, and skin health. We pulverized it into a fine powder in the NutriBullet and dusted it over the finished Cheerios. It elevated the whole thing.
Carly was also very much pregnant during this shoot, which added the sweetest layer to the whole day. A mama-to-be and a chef making a clean homemade version of a childhood snack together. It felt right.
Here’s how we made them.

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Whisk together all dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Add the hot water and non-dairy milk and mix until a firm dough forms.
Roll a small amount of dough between your palms into a smooth ball. Gently press down slightly. Use a toothpick or skewer to poke a hole through the center. Repeat until all the dough is used up.
Bake for 30 minutes until lightly golden and toasty. Allow to cool completely.
Warm the Beekeeper’s Naturals Superfood Honey with a pinch of cinnamon. Toss the cooled Cheerios in the glaze and let set.
To a bullet style blender add Beekeeper’s Naturals Bee Pollen and pulverize. Sprinkle generously on top.
Clean ingredients, a childhood classic, and a friend who knows more about bees than anyone I have ever met. This one had everything. Try the recipe, grab the honey, and let me know what you think.
