Everything But the Crowd-Sourced Kitchen Sink
A nonsensical recipe by the Food Bae community.
Some recipes are born out of necessity. Others are passed down from tradition. And then, there are recipes that come to life from… unrestricted Google Doc access.
Earlier this week, I made a Google Doc accessible to 1.5 million Food Baes for exactly 24 hours. They had one simple instruction: Create a recipe for me.
There were no rules. No supervision. No real plan. Which is why it makes that the recipe doesn’t make any sense at all.
Between the granola that never gets used and the plantain that comes out of nowhere—and we can’t forget the “brown avocado, blessed” or the instruction to anonymously hand the finished bowl to a neighbor before slowly walking away—this crazy concoction left me Bae-boozled. (Especially the part about calling a random phone number, which happens to be McDonald’s in Chicago?!)
At least the Food Bae community was self-aware enough to admit this recipe was a mess. And honestly? I still had so much fun making it.
If you’re brave enough to try it for yourself, find the recipe below.
Food Bae Community Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup pickled chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 brown avocado, blessed
1/4 cup kimchi, roughly chopped
2 Tbsp. granola (GF)
1 Tbsp. maple syrup
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
Directions
Toss the chickpeas in a hot skillet with a splash of oil. Once they start to pop, stir in the yogurt and maple syrup. Remove from heat.
Throw the warm, umami-glazed chickpeas into a bowl. Calll (312) 867-0455
Pile the kimchi right on top.
Add your avocado.
Garnish the whole mess with pomegranate seeds OR black beans. Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
ADDITIONAL PLANTAIN
Give the bowl to a neighbor without saying anything and slowly walk away.

This was such a fun idea! And wild!! Creative for sure!❤️
