Ingredients:
For the Tuna Crudo:
200g Fresh Sushi-Grade Tuna, diced small
1 tablespoon Olive Oil (plus extra for drizzling)
Zest of 1 Lemon
1 teaspoon Sumac
Sea Salt, to taste
Fresh Cracked Black Pepper, to taste
For the Tzatziki:
* 3/4 cup Unsweetened Greek or Coconut Yogurt or Labneh
1 small Cucumber, finely grated and excess water squeezed out
1 tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
1 clove Garlic, minced
Sea Salt, to taste
Freshly Cracked Black Pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
Fresh Oregano, for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Tuna:
- Dice the tuna into small pieces and toss with olive oil, lemon zest, sumac, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for 10-15 minutes.
2. Make the Tzatziki:
- Combine yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste.
3. Grill the Pita:
- Slice each pita in half and place directly on a hot, dry skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy and lightly charred.
4. Assemble the Dish:
- Arrange the grilled pita on a plate, top with marinated tuna, and spoon tzatziki alongside or drizzle over the tuna.
5. Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish with fresh oregano and drizzle with olive oil. Serve immediately.
